Costa Rica dental history is probably comming from the Mayans, who lived in the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico, the Mexican states of Campeche, Chiapas, Quintana Roo and Tabasco, in addition to some parts of Central America from around 250 CE to 900 CE. In 1990 the 75th Anniversary of the College of Dental Surgeons was celebrated and the Recreational Center of the College was purchased.
For the year 1900, throughout the Republic of Costa Rica there are twelve dentists established in the capital and one in the province of Alajuela.
